Artist's Comments

schools across America are cutting art and music from their curriculums. SAVE THE ART.

for a school project-- I had to make a poster about an issue that concerns me.

Edit-- Thanks for DD and all your nice comments. This is so much more popular than I ever thought it would be :B

Promote Imagination is an excellent poster for an excellent cause; at 14 ~JunkyCow has his priorities straight. This is exactly the kind of thing you'd expect to see gracing the walls of your local library. (Suggested by ~PersephonesDuality and Featured by `Einion)

This is nicely done, I hope your teacher will recognise the artistic ability your poster displays as well as the message it is trying to convey! Simple yet effective! :)

This is a fantastic poster and the issue is near and dear to my heart as well. It's such a shame when schools talk about budget cuts they always cut art programs first. They underplay the importance of arts in educational development. What they don't realize is that those are the classes that teach you the most. They promote mental development, creativity and self esteem in ways that other curriculum simply cannot. Hats off to you on a great poster for a great cause.

:iconjunkycow:
yup. Schools that have cut art + music classes have lower test scores and more discipline issues. They wind up spending more money on extra counseling staff and whatall than they saved by cutting creativity from their schedule.

It grows in bunches.
:iconpersephonesduality:
And in the end they have no one but themselves to blame, which they refuse to do.
